Exterior

The house has a stone foundation and is sided entirely with cedar shingles. Its two stone chimneys serve four fireplaces. The back of the house (west side) has a deck which is accessible from the kitchen, from the office, and from the back yard. The south side of the house has a large deck accessible from the Smoking Room, from the front garden, and from the back yard. The master bedroom suite upstairs includes a private balcony facing south and west.

Behind the house are two large garages, one of which includes a workshop with workbench, storage drawers, storage closet, and windows facing south, east and west. The driveway and garages accommodate approximately twelve cars. (Note: The garage doors have been repainted after the photo was taken.)

The house has excellent privacy on all sides.
